Since the company’s founding in 1879, Hartner has been engaged in the development and production of high-precision products. We follow this tradition even today. It meets different needs and expectations in the machining industry, especially with its helical deep hole drills and barrel drills.

In 1911, Gustav Hartner made a significant decision by expanding the product line of the Hartner company to include precision drilling tools. By 1913, this expansion became an integral part of the company’s identity, reflected in its name: G. Hartner, Factory for Scales and Drills. The company established its own machine construction department to manufacture the specialized machines necessary for industrial drill production.

Over time, the production of precision drilling tools and the equipment needed to manufacture them became increasingly crucial for Hartner, eventually becoming the cornerstone of the company’s operations.

Today, Hartner exclusively specializes in precision cutting tools. Their standard product range comprises over 21,000 tools designed for various applications. Additionally, Hartner also manufactures custom-made special tools tailored to the specific requirements of individual customers.
